Three ways to load it. One long Wisconsin night.

Illustrative ten-hour burn. Not a spec sheet. Your house, your wood and your stove decide.

Three fuels,
one floor.

“Plenty of shops pick a lane. We never have, because the houses around here do not pick one either.”

Wood

Real heat that does not care whether the power is on.

Cut, split, stacked and seasoned. Hot after loading, cooler by morning.

Pellet

Wood heat, without the wood pile.

A hopper and a thermostat. The auger and fans need electricity.

Gas

Gas on a thermostat.

The lowest maintenance of the three. It still needs its yearly service.

The same shop sells it,
sets it and services it.

Before an appliance is ordered, the room and the venting get a look. The installation and the work that keeps it running stay with one shop.

Putting it in.

A site visit before anything is ordered.

Clearances, hearth protection and wall shielding done to code.

Class A chimney, liners and direct vent runs.

Gas line and propane connections coordinated.

The crate and packaging leave with the installers.

Keeping it running.Annual service, by fuel

Pellet

The burn pot, exhaust and fans get cleaned.

Wood

The stove and chimney get swept and inspected for creosote.

Gas

The burner, pilot and glass get serviced.

We prioritize the equipment we sold and installed.

The room
decides.

A stove that is too big gets run choked down. Too small, and you are feeding it all night.

What is there
An existing fireplace, a chimney, an old stove, or a bare wall?

We would rather measure the space and get it right than sell you the biggest one on the floor.

“There was no pushy or pressured salesmen ship. ... The estimate was very fast and it was exactly on, which meant no surprises in the end.”

Our story.
Next-door neighbors.

Brian and Holly grew up next door to each other in Hayward. They became high school sweethearts.

Brian headed to the University of Minnesota in 1987. Holly followed in 1990. A job at a fireplace store in Minnetonka gave Brian his start in the hearth business.

Back home, he spent five years in sales and installation at a Hayward fireplace retailer. Then Brian and Holly opened their own shop on Main Street.

The shop outgrew that space. Today, it is on Highway 63, next to the Park Theater. Still the Duffy family business, since 2000.
